At a dinner last year the president of a company in which I had led a leadership program on trust with the executive team, told me, “Gone are the days where a company really can run itself. Today it is the shareholders who run things, and ironically enough they are not objective in the decisions they promote and fight for. Their interests are not always for the best of the company, just for the best in profits.” This then tends to be a short-sighted vision.
In essence, there is a double-binded message happening. Leaders are communicating to those they are leading, encouraging them to be inspired and to put their hearts into their work, when the outcome has less benefit for them overall. A new paradigm is unfolding that will lead our models of business and leadership to evolve to the next level. Stay tuned! https://buff.ly/2DXR9ZV
